Add a little culture this bank holiday weekend

With the renewed interest in Cornish History following the well-received TV series, Poldark, there are so many places to visit this bank holiday.

Why not take the Poldark trail and visit a few of the locations that were featured, Charlestown Harbour, Wheal Owles Mine in Penwith and Lizard Point where the shipwreck was filmed.

Or, if the weather holds, head over to the beach in Constantine Bay near Padstow, or Nampara Cove, otherwise known as Porthcothan.

You can follow the goings on via twitter of the various interest groups, @PoldarkTv or search #Poldark to find our more.

Whilst Poldark isn’t the only TV or film using Cornwall as it’s base, we see other well known shows such as Doc Martin and films such as the Zombies all being big business here in Cornwall.

If films and Tv isn’t your thing then pop over to the creative arts page on the Cornwall Council website, which has a host of places to visit and things to do this bank holiday weekend.
